Sofia Medical Center of Reproductive Medicine and IVF offers a special program for IVF treatment of qualifying couples by а prepaid Flat Rate/IVF Refund Plan. This payment option (often reffered to as a “Shared risk” plan) provides couples less financial anxiety through a fixed fee of 4 IVF/ICSI cycles and a 70% refund of that prepaid fee to couples who do not achieve a viable pregnancy.

The Flat Rate/IVF Refund Plan will be discussed as an option only after IVF/ICSI is chosen as the medically appropriate therapy from our specialists.

Services covered in the Flat Rate/IVF Refund Plan:

• Determination of appropriate hormonal stimulation protocol;
• Ultrasound examinations;
• Hormonal level monitoring;
• Ultrasound oocytes retrival;
• IVF laboratory procedures involving in vitro fertilization;
• Embryo transfer;
• Post embryo transfer management, including one pregnancy test.

The Flat Rate/IVF Refund Plan does not cover the following procedures and examinations:

• Drug therapy involved in ovarian stimulation;
• Services of an outside specialist, if required;
• Medicaments that are needed to support the implantation.

The Flat Rate/IVF Refund Plan is available for couples that have completed a full medical screening and are considered good candidates for IVF/ICSI treatment. Women have to cover the following criteria:

• Must be under 35 years of age on the date the cycle;
• Must have appropriate hormonal levels;
• A uterine cavity absent of abnormalities.

Restrictions:

• Couples that have failed three or more previous IVF/ICSI cycles;
• Women with two or more previous miscarriages.

Only cash-in-advance payment patients are eligible for this program. If after four IVF/ICSI cycles a pregnancy does no occur, coples will receive a 70% refund. This option does not include the cancelled cycles. Cancellation of stimulation is applayed when the response of the ovaries to stimulation therapy is not sufficient enough to result in a minimum of five (5) mature follicles (at least 16 mm diameter on HCG day).
